Eden Memorial Pet Care has announced the implementation of new technology that will leapfrog their pet aftercare services into a new level of customer care.
Featuring a new software system that provides veterinary hospitals and clients with a real-time status report of their beloved pet, the new service tracks a pet though the aftercare process with greater accuracy and less paperwork. Eden Memorial is working with Mobile BIS, the leading developer of software for the pet cremation industry. Mobile BIS has developed the Pet Cremation Software (PCS) to enhance operations within a crematory by providing web hosted data bases, inventory management, smart phone tracking capabilities, and bar code identification/tracking.

Mobile BIS, is a division of the BIS Computer Solutions located in La Crescenta, CA. BIS Computer Solutions provides software applications for mobile devices and is an Oracle Certified Partners and member of the Oracle Development Alliance. Michael Macho, President of Mobile BIS, saw the need for a software system that was specifically designed for the pet cremation industry. He and his team invested years of development into this project. "The PCS software systems are virtually the only programs available expressly designed for pet cemeteries and crematories,” says Macho, "We are very pleased that the community has so broadly embraced the software."

For veterinary hospitals, Pet Cremation Software, PCS, is a user-friendly web-based system. No software to install. With a regular internet connection, a hospital is able to access their system alongside their existing hospital database. Even if a hospital is not set up for an internet connection, the system can be installed with a program CD. In this case, the hospital can still print tags and use the offline-database, but will not have access to the live time status reports via online.

With the dramatic growth of the pet industry and pet aftercare in the last 10 years, this service is something that people will come to expect for their pet. The days of hand written identification tags and wondering whether the cremains are accurate are over.
